Vestibular Therapy

Vestibular dysfunction in post-traumatic brain injury victims typically causes imbalance in walking or the tendency to fall, dizziness, and gaze (focal) instability.

Treatment is personalized to suit the needs of individual patients and takes place over time as a multidisciplinary approach geared in balance retraining, adaptation, and repositioning maneuvers in order to decrease symptoms, increase self-confidence, enhance physical abilities, improve posture and increase control in one’s balance, eliminating vertigo, reduce the patient’s reliance on medication, and reduce effects of visually provoked stimuli.

The goal of this rehabilitation is to return to the patient their sense of freedom through mobility.

This is a sample diagnostic and treatment report for a patient with vestibular dysfunction.
